The video, co-produced by Montana himself and Edgar Esteves (Alicia Keys, J. Cole, Lil Baby, Russ, Davido, Chris Brown…), reconstructs some striking moments affiliated with strong images taken from clips of the US game of in recent years, including the scene where Childish Gambino shoots an individual in the head at point blank range in the clip This Is America, or the costume worn by The Weeknd since the release of his project After Hours. In this short film featuring a number of special effects, and in which French sits atop the Empire State Building in New York, we also see the artist alongside Diddy (boss of Bad Boy Entertainment), present to accompany his protégé. The versatile rapper from Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, Papoose has been working at a breakneck pace since the start of 2021, with the release of EP’s January, February, March, April, May, June, July and September. As you will have understood, the 43-year-old Mc New Yorker delivered one mini-project per month – except in August -, and has also decided to clip one of the tracks taken from the EP of the month of September. This song is Thought I Was Gonna Stop, featuring with Lil Wayne. A clip directed by WillC and Tana (from the Street Heat TV structure) in which the 2 artists – who pose together for the 1st time – perform their text in front of the camera, with different sets in the background, and a lot of reference to the hip-hop including a speaker wall or surrounded by dancers… and above all on a production by Timbaland. October, Papoose’s new EP, will be released on Halloween, that is, October 31st. Note that this song turns strong on TikTok in the US, while paradoxically, Weezy begins his game by joking about the back of this application!

  • Big Sean & Hit-Boy feat. Bryson Tiller & Lil Durk – Loyal To A Fault :

This Friday, October 29, Big Sean unveiled What You Expect, a 6 track EP exclusively produced by Hit-Boy. A highly anticipated project since it arrived more than a year after the release of the artist’s 5th studio album, entitled Detroit 2, which had enjoyed significant esteem and commercial success. In this context, the native of Louisville, Kentucky, released the clip of Loyal To A Fault, from the latest EP to date, featuring Bryson Tiller and the essential Lil Durk. All of them evoke the theme of loyalty and tell of different infidelities of which they may have been guilty, while playing bowling or billiards brilliantly while different categories of individuals compete (representatives of the faithful, the infidels, etc.). This clip comes a week after that of What a Life, which had created the buzz, since the rapper was surrounded and covered with no less than… 65,000 bees!

  • Yung Miami – Rap Freaks :

BDSM atmosphere in the new clip – directed by Keemotion (Migos, Lil Baby, Quondo Rando…) – by Yung Miami, Rap Freaks. This is a piece in which she talks about her adventures but especially the colleagues with whom she would see herself, or not, having sex! “I’m on a track, I don’t see a Tory in my lane, I’m with the savages, I drive the boat, I sit on Megan’s face, I ride her like a stallion, all we do is discreet”, She rapped, facing the camera, as she appears in a cage, or suspended by the wrists and ankles in a very sexy leather outfit. While in real life, she seems coveted by Diddy, she also refers to many other artists, including Lil Durk, Lil Baby or Future, to whom she would gladly open the doors. This title is reminiscent of the song Barbie Dreams by Nicki Minaj (2018), who was herself inspired by the song Just Playing (Dreams) de The Notorious B.I.G.

  • Macklemore & Ryan Lewis feat. Windser – Next Year :

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis (in production) re-team after 5 years without collaboration on the occasion of the release of the music video for Next Year, directed by Lewis himself and Jason Koenig (previously author of the video for Can’t Hold Us in 2012). The rapper, who finds himself on a sort of barge with his little family, then takes us aboard a canoe, before exploring the city. So many stages during which it happens all types of adventures. In a statement, Macklemore explained how the song was built : “Ryan first played it to me in his car, like a rude demo, but it immediately struck me. So I wrote a bunch of verses quickly and went down to Los Angeles to record…”At 38, Macklemore is currently working on the sequel to Gemini, his latest project, released in 2017 …

To announce the release of this single, Macklemore posted on Instagram a video of his 6 year old daughter, Sloane, listening to and commenting on the song
