Police found a 12-caliber rifle, a 22-caliber pistol, a tear gas canister, UDMO uniforms, and other agency-owned equipment in Saint Hilaire’s home.
The institution points out that Saint Hilaire was already jailed in 2012 for similar incidents.
“Given the serious and consistent evidence that was found against him during the investigation and which could claim his criminal responsibility, after consulting the Port au Prince Public Prosecutor’s Office, he was detained by the police while he was awaiting his arrest. He is referred for assassination,” informs the police agency in a note.
