Luxembourg law enforcement has put Edinjo Pulti, a 40-year-old Albanian, on the list of most wanted people in Europe. The suspect has been tracked across Europe for several days for attempted murder and illegal trafficking in arms, ammunition and explosives.
On August 2, 2020, the individual armed with a knife allegedly attacked two men in the street, around 9 p.m., on the Place du Marché in Pétange, Luxembourg. He allegedly seriously injured one of them in the stomach. Video made by an eyewitness shows many passers-by on the street at the time. We also see that the assailant had initially stopped the car of his victims by causing a head-on collision with his own car.
War between two gangs of Albanian drug dealers
About two months later, on October 15, 2020, another attempted assault related to this first case took place in Nancy, France. A shot was fired from a car at the occupants of another vehicle. No one was injured in this attack.
According to the “Wort”, the alleged shooter from Nancy and two other men were arrested on August 11, 2021, near the crime scene in Pétange. The Public Prosecutor’s Office of Nancy had previously sent a request for mutual legal assistance to the Luxembourg authorities. This outbreak of violence is said to be linked to a war between two gangs of Albanian drug dealers.
